Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane opened its doors on 20th of January 1908 in Clonmell House, Harcourt Street, Dublin. This gallery is said to be one of the first galleries of modern art in the world. Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane houses a collection of comtemporary Irish and international art. The museum has gallery spaces for temporary and permanent collections, a bookshop, a cafe and also a well dedicated learning environment. The renowned Hugh Lane, Harry Clarke and several other masterpieces are included in the collection of the gallery.
